I didn't pay much attention, I thought it was saying it was still updating so I waited for a bit. Some claim they got it working by setting the time zone. Then another claimed they got it working by setting the timezone on their router.

I didn't do any packet captures to try and figure out what was going on but I managed to get it working only after plugging it into the AT&T gateway, around my router.

I do not understand why this is but got the idea from reading others trying to troubleshoot their Bluray players. I'm not blocking outgoing NTP requests at my router.
